Aerospace Engineer
With a Masters in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, Byron is an expert in systems analysis and optimization. He has previously designed a successful small-scale solar aircraft and pioneered a novel genetic algorithm to develop highly specialized airfoils.
Electrical Engineer
Robert has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and served as a member of the record-breaking SWIGZ.COM Race Team. He brings experience in electrical power and control systems design from a career in aerospace and has worked on a range of green transportation projects including a record-breaking fuel-cell-powered aircraft and the SWIGZ.COM electric motorcycle.
Logistics
Jimmy brings years of experience serving as crew chief to the SWIGZ.COM Motorcycle Race Team. His expertise ranges from logistics, race strategy, and team management to physical training, each of which will be invaluable in the successful completion of this unprecedented flight.
Aerospace Engineer
Another Masters alumnus of the University of Colorado Aerospace Engineering program, Jeff is an expert in control systems design and aerospace systems optimization. He has a proven track-record of systems analysis and control systems design in both suborbital and orbital flight, with several of his designs having flown on orbit.
Aerospace Engineer
John received his Masters in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering from Cornell and has served as a subsystems designer and integrator on many aerospace and green transportation projects with Cornell, NASA, and Boeing. He has served as a team lead on Cornell’s Progressive X-Prize vehicle, and is a proven expert at propellor analysis and construction.
Chief Engineer
Ben previously served as chief engineer on Chip’s electric motorcycle program and as lead technical advisor on the Boeing A160T helicopter program. He is an experienced aerospace engineer with a degree from MIT and many years of experience building cutting edge aircraft and green energy technology.
