April 19, 2012  //  Flight of the Century’s World Record Electric Airplane Featured on PBS Television.   PBS SOCAL reporter Allison Everman meets with FOTC CEO Chip Yates and electrical engineer Robert Ussery at FOTC Headquarters in Orange County, California to talk about the past EV motorcycle success and the future of electric airplanes.  //WATCH NOW//

April 11, 2012  //  Flight of the Century Files Notice of Intent and Concept Paper with the Department of Energy for ARPA-E Funding.  FOTC’s parent company, W.Morrison Consulting Group, Inc. (a U.S. Government Contractor) filed Concept Paper 0670-1991 “Infinite Range Electric Aircraft with Dockable UAV Battery Pods” on behalf of the FOTC division.  The submission was made as a follow-on to the company’s filing of a Notice of Intent on March 23, 2012 in response to DoE’s FOA #DE-FOA-0000670 $150M Open Funding Announcement.

April 6, 2012  //  Flight of the Century Purchases Burt Rutan Designed Long-EZ Aircraft to Convert to Electric.  The FOTC team purchased the aircraft in Dallas, Texas and transported it to the corporate headquarters in Orange County, California for conversion to electric using FOTC’s patent-pending electric flight technology.  The electric aircraft will be used by the company as a flying test bed for developing the battery pack parachute jettison, UAV battery pack jettison and UAV battery pack re-docking technology, and also for attempting world records for fastest manned electric airplane and highest altitude for a manned electric airplane in 2012
